Transportation Program Manager

Opportunity to work on a one-of-a-kind traffic signal synchronization project extending throughout the Coachella Valley as well as the delivery of other challenging and complex transportation improvement projects. Under general supervision of the Director of Transportation, assists in coordinating transportation project planning and delivery activities required to administer the Coachella Valley Transportation Program. Plans, organizes, implements, and manages transportation projects that may be associated with but not limited to Measure A, the State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP), Active Transportation Program (ATP), and other state and federal funding sources; ensures timely use of funds and adherence to program guidelines; and performs related duties as assigned.

Management Analyst I / II – Transportation

Under general supervision or direction, manages federal, state, and local funds related to transportation programs, projects, and studies and ensures that funding requirements are properly executed to meet funding requirements; oversees and coordinates CVAG-managed projects, studies, programs with other CVAG staff and staff from local governments and regional transit agencies; researches, identifies, and applies for grants and manages post award funding; may serve as a project manager including managing professional service consultants conducting planning and design of transportation or transportation-related projects; programming of funds; project delivery; and reporting; and performs related duties as assigned.

Program Manager – Transportation Engineer

The ideal candidate must be an innovative problem solver who wants to make a true impact in the community. This full-time exempt position is part of a growing Transportation Department that is eager, enthusiastic, and experienced. CVAG’s current major program activities include the CV Link multi-modal transportation corridor and related studies; the CV Sync regional signal synchronization program; climate resiliency improvements along Indian Canyon Drive; updating the region’s Transportation Project Prioritization Study and Active Transportation Plan; and a regional broadband initiative that has attracted statewide attention. This position under general supervision of the Director of Transportation will plan, organize, oversee, coordinate, and manage transportation programs; manage and provide oversight of transportation planning and policy development; develop, manage, and deliver projects to support the Coachella Valley Transportation Program.
